The Memphis Grizzlies Wheelchair Basketball team rolled into action, showcasing their elite skill and speed as they hosted a tournament over the weekend. The event took place at Raymond Skinner Center, where the team, along with the Memphis Police Department and the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, took to the court. The tournament aimed to highlight and increase awareness of competitive adaptive sports. 'It's just bringing awareness to things they do for those with a disability, and it kind of gives us a presence in the community to be visible,' said Rollin Grizzlies player Michial Archie. The team encourages more people to get involved in competitive adaptive sports, as these sports have become more accessible to many over the years. The Memphis Grizzlies Wheelchair Basketball Team has been a highlight of CEO and head coach Al Greer's life, as it has given him the chance not only to play the sport himself but also to provide this opportunity to others. The team's efforts are a testament to the growth and development of adaptive sports. For more information on the Memphis Grizzlies Wheelchair Basketball Team, visit rollingrizzlies.org.
